What do I have to offer?
While new to these skills, I have picked up fast and have developed a passion for it. I can use all kinds of hand tools and power tools on different types of building materials. My specialty is accurate measurements transferred from drawings and renderings. Making things up to par with the provided scale and drawings highlights my attention to detail down to 1/32 of an inch! I am also trained in Scenic Design, Lighting Design, and Sound Design.
Lighting Design
Proficiencies:
EOS operation
Watermarking renderings
Manipulating parameters of selected lights
Building a cue list
Recording/Labeling cues
Groups and Color Palettes
Scenic Design
Proficiencies:
Vectorworks operation
Watermarking renderings
Adjusting scales to spaces
Color coding
Adding texture to different surfaces
Making the renderings into design plans
Sound Design
Proficiencies:
Q Lab operation
Adjusting sound levels
Researching fitting sounds for different shows
Combining files to make one cue
Color coding based on category
Building a cue list
Drafting Skills:
My challenge for this project was to measure out the dimensions of a room in my apartment along with all of the “permanent” furniture. Then I had to create a to-scale model on Vectorworks (I used 1/4 inch = 1 Foot), and inout doors and symbols for dressers, lights, etc.
Scenic Design:
The goal of this project was to receive a script and come up with a design for one scene of the show. I chose to construct the base layer of Frankenstein’s laboratory from the play “Frankenstein” by Alexander Utz.

Sound Design:
Tne goal of this project was to pick a script and create/ find sounds that fit a scene from the show. I chose to create a soundtrack for the play “Frankenstein” by Alexander Utz. Specifically the scene leading up to the creation and bringing to life of the monster. Click on the picture below for the sound file.
Stage Management:
In this project, I learned how to mark a script with go/call/standby cues and how to call a show in real time. For this, I used the opening number from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. Click on the left picture for audio of calling the number.
Lighting Design:
For this project, I was supposed to create a cue list for a musical number. I chose to do “Loud” from Matilda the Musical. Click on the left picture below for the full video of my lighting design.
Tool skillset:
Hand Tools (Screw gun, power stapler, etc.)
Table Saw
Chop Saw
Compressor
Sander
Router
Knot Skills:
Bowline Knot. Clove Hitch Knot
Vectorworks Proficiencies:
Create Predefined Polygons with specific dimensions using tools in the “basic” toolset
Create custom polygons with specific dimensions using the “2D Polygon” tool
Create lines with specific dimensions using the “Line” tool
Add and modify text
Assign colors to polygon fills and lines
Move objects
Create Design Layers
Assign objects to a Design Layer
Create a Sheet Layer
Create a View Port
Create a title block
Publish a Sheet Layer
EOS Proficiencies:
Opening EOS in “EOS” mode
Turn on Auto Mark
Arranging Screen to see multiple items at once
Accessing the virtual keyboard and using keyboard shortcuts
Selecting channels one light at a time, in groups, or as a range
Manipulating parameters of certain lights
Building a cue list outside of EOS
Making the “PSD” visible
Recording cues

Opening and Saving Files
Adding audio files
Stopping and Starting playback
Auto Continue and Auto Follow
Loops
Changing audio levels
Adding fade ins and fade outs
Groups
Bundling workspaces for export
Here is some proof of my work in building…
40 Minute Play Festival:
For the 2025 Spring semester 40 minute play festival, I designed the sound for two productions. “Heroes of the Fourth Turning” Directed by Korey Sayre, and “Significant Other” Directed by Mason Bowling.
